Darrell Scott,
2007 Song of the Year - Americana Music Awards

The guitar is awesome. If you are in the market for a high end custom acoustic guitar, Gray Burchette is a master. He is the Oprah of guitar builders!”
Paul Thorn, National Recording Artist

Mr. Burchette has crafted a baritone guitar for me and I have been playing it nonstop at home but I used it yesterday for my radio performances and I love it to death! It is the nicest instrument I have ever owned. I can't say enough good things about it.
Edwin McCain, National Recording Artist

“The acoustic guitars I play. Simply the best.”
Thanks Gray!”
Mitch Malloy, National Recording Artist

"Sometimes I believe that my Burchette Guitar writes my songs for me. It's as if I pick it up, begin strumming and the tones that I hear are singing actual words to me. It is the only guitar I have ever been able to both hear and feel."
Thank you Gray!”
Jamie Carroll, Singer/Songwriter

"Recently, I obtained a very interesting response when using my Sloped D Burchette Guitar. On July 11, 2008 my band Celtic Connection played in front of 6,500 fans at the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games duirng the evening Celtic Jam. I was playing my guitar breaks plugged in through a high powered festival sound system, the crowd erupted in overwhelming approval. The rich and warm acoustic tones of the sloped D echoed out over the Highland Games arena.

The following weekend, I played a wedding on a hillside near Mouth of Wilson Virginia. I was playing unpluged and outside for about 70 people. The sound of the sloped D was amazingly strong. Something unexpected happened. After playing a dropped D tune containing a distinctive lilting rhythm and filled with model tones, I recieved applause. It was the only time that I've ever received applause during a wedding prelude!"
RG Absher, Singer / Songwriter - Elkin, NC

“I am a musician and guitar collector. I have been playing guitar now for almost 25 years, and have been collecting guitars for about half that time. My collection is comprised of 47 high-end, handmade acoustics, and 34 vintage electrics and handmade arch tops. On the acoustic side I own two Olson’s, a Grit Laskin, 5 Lowden’s, 7 Larrivees from when he was still a small shop, 3 Santa Cruz’s, 7 Everett’s, 3 Goodalls, and a handful of others that include Breedlove, Lakewood, McCollum, Huss and Dalton, Manzer and Gallagher. I sat and played my first Burchette Guitar for about 5 hours straight, and I have to tell you, it is one of the most beautiful, and most amazing sounding guitars I have ever played. The response is without a doubt angelic, and I play a variety of styles in open tunings, and the guitar handled magically in all areas. I was hooked and needed another one immediately. My Olsons are the only other guitar that has done that to me. I will recommend your guitars unquestioningly to anyone who asks, and your guitars have now become two of my primary concert guitars when performing. I would put the two Burchette guitars I have against any other guitar out there, and I know that yours would come out on top. Thank you for building such a fine guitar, and thank you for enriching my life with your creations. I look forward to adding more Burchette’s to my collection in the very near future.”

"I have this story about the Ramirez 5e that I bought in June.....it's a $3600 classical. When I first played it my comment was: "well, it doesn't play itself"......which meant that would still have to work to get good sounds out of it.

So....Friday night, when I got home with my new guitar, I sat down with it and brought my fingers to the strings and........it seemed to begin playing itself!........No matter what I did, the guitar sounded great. I think this is part because your guitar and it's excellent sound inspires me to play....it seems to draw my fingers up the frets to new places. I love the guitar....I think it's better than the first one…”
Fred, Roanoke, VA.

“I got really lucky with this guitar. Wow..It's such an incredible work of art. It's probably the most beautiful guitar I have ever seen. I currently own a classical guitar by Frederich Holtier as well, and my Ryan. I also own a couple of hand made Middle Eastern instruments. I have also owned a Lowden, Santa Cruz, Collings, and a Thomas Humphrey. Not to mention the vintage electrics I "gave away" many years ago before they were worth anything. I am currently working on a CD, and started the tracks in the Middle East. My new tune, Andalusian Heart, which I wrote on your guitar, will be on it.

... I'm not letting go of this one for a long, long, time. I took a chance on this guitar, because frankly, I had never heard of you. I never saw your guitars anywhere, and not at Dream Guitars either, which is practically in your neighborhood. But I could tell from the pictures that it would be awesome. I could just tell. You pay incredible attention to detail, your purfling, rosette, choice of wood, and that bearclaw!!! Wow! THANK YOU!!!”
Sharon Klein, Singer/Songwriter

"I just want to remind you how much I enjoy playing my Burchette sinker Redwood/figured Walnut Grand Soloist. It is by far the best sounding of all my guitars, especially amplified with the K&K Pure Western pickup. I've just finished playing each of my guitars in a sound comparison test. Although I have some beautiful sounding, and great looking, guitars, my Grand Soloist stands out. It is by far the best sounding of all my guitars. And I think it's the best looking too.
Thanks again."
Todd Walker, Singer/Songwriter

"The guitar is amazing! I've played it top choice on every showthis tour...it has hands down out=permormed the Martin and the J-50 (I still use the Gibson for altered tunings). But that still means the Burchette is played about 95% of the time...amazing tone and projection...love it, Gray!
