SLOPED D Burchette with a Manzar Wedge body.

| Sloped D Burchette Guitar. I made this guitar to show at the Merlefest. With a rain shortened Saturday and not showing up on Sunday for the festival. I still have this guitar. It is about 3 weeks old. The back and sides are Cocobolo with beautiful spider webbing and a deep rich brick red. The top is Red Spruce. It has a golden toner on it to give it an aged apperance.The binding is curly Eucalyptus. It is a two piece top. The outer edges were just a little lighter than the rest of the top.It has a spalted Maple Rossette It has a soundport in it on the upper bout side. If you haven't played a guitar with a soundport you will love it. It is like having your own personal monitor. It sounds like your guitar is in stereo. This guitar also features a Linda Manzer design. It is called the Manzer Wedge body. This makes the guitar more comfortable to play. The side that your arm rests on is 3 1/2 in. thick and the leg side is 4 13/16 in. thick......... |
